Requirements and Duties:

  • Hydro vac experience an asset
  • Valid drivers’ licence (class 3 an asset)
  • Complete inspection and maintenance and repair, accident or incident reports
  • Provides excellent customer service
  • Requires basic security clearance; criminal record check; abstract
  • Ability to work in physically demanding conditions
  • Strong communication skills, working with others, problem solving, decision making and critical thinking
  • Is able to work in all weather conditions


Duties and Requirements:

  • He/She must be reliable, able to work long hours, and work out of town on occasion
  • Must possess and exhibit a strong safety acumen
  • Previous CCTV experience an asset
  • Be mechanically inclined
  • Must be able to work independently and demonstrate a strong customer service focus
  • Hold a valid class 5 drivers’ licence and be able to get to the jobsite
  • Strong communication skills, working with others, problem solving, decision making and critical thinking

LABOURERS (Sewer and Water)

Skills Required:

  • Ability to work out of town if necessary
  • Previous experience in Sewer & Water an asset
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions – primarily outdoors
  • Valid driver’s license an asset
  • Ability to complete physical work
  • Ability to work long hours and some weekends based on business needs
  • Punctual, reliable, and hard working
  • Enjoys being part of a team


Duties and Requirements:

  • Pick up and deliver various parts to job sites
  • Travel to and from suppliers
  • Communication with Supervisors and Foreman
  • Must hold valid drivers’ licence and good understanding of the city
  • Physically capable of lifting

  • Direct and control traffic safely on the construction site
  • Must be able to work overtime and be flexible with hours (day time / night time)
  • Must be reliable
  • Comfortable standing for long periods of time
  • General labor duties and contributing to the team as needed
  • Valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • The ability to handle stressful situations
  • The ability to listen and communicate specific instructions clearly, firmly, and courteously
  • Wear CSA approved steel-toed boots
  • The ability to understand and apply safe job procedures, safe work practices, and policies
  • Ability to work out of town for the season if necessary

Maple Leaf Construction Ltd. – Highway Division is currently hiring


Duties include:

  • Delivery of building materials
  • Unload materials – perform hooks and unhooks
  • Perform preventative maintenance check and pre trip inspections
  • Maintain log books
  • Communicate with customers in a professional manner


Requirements include:

  • Class 1 Drivers Licence
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience hauling gravel and asphalt
  • Ability to work out of town for extended periods of time if required
  • Positive attitude
  • Hopper/lowbed/tanker/b-train experience an asset
  • Physically fit – ability to lift, bend, and regularly climb in and out of vehicles
  • Must be able to take direction well and communicate effectively
  • Ability to work long hours including some weekends


Duties include:

  • Operate the Tandem and equipment safely
  • Perform maintenance check and pre trip inspections
  • Ensure proper loading of asphalt and aggregates and verify the type and weight of materials being hauled;
  • Ensure on-time delivery of asphalt, aggregates and other road construction materials
  • Maintain truck box to remove any/all debris when necessary;
  • Perform miscellaneous labourer activities throughout the day as necessary

Requirements include:

  • 2 years’ experience in road construction industry preferred
  • Confident ability to back up loaded trailers
  • Valid Class 3 Driver’s License and clean abstract
  • Knowledge of construction materials
  • Must be physically fit
  • Good attitude, punctual, ability to work independently as well as with others
  • Must be able to work on a crew out of town and stay in a camp setting
